Add a central nucleus and half the electron shell in whole numbers on a corner centred Atomic Dumbells set, a new model emerges that plots the construction of Electron orbitals.
Representations of 4 specific types of Electrons (s green, p yellow, d red, f blue) can be extracted and scripted, modelled on the dynamic corner centred Atomic Dumbbells set.
With that central nucleus in place (a pair of brackets), Protons ‘Z’ are on the left and Neutrons ‘N’ are on the right, separated by a colon (Z:N).
There are normally the same number of Protons as there are Electrons. That number is the same number as the element number. In the shorthand notation listed below electrons are added one by one. The longhand notation string show the type of electron orbital added (s,p,d or f) and vacant docking ports.
Hydrogen is the first element to have a vacant docking port in its electron shell. To highlight that vacant docking port there’s an up question mark on the left ?, or a down question mark ¿ on the right to indicate a hook and imply rotation. Other elements also have docking ports indicated by question marks.
The first and only maximum shell immediately surrounding the nucleus is element 2 Helium.
